Considering an SL65
Hello All
I am considering getting into a 2005-6 SL65. I have been doing research and learning a lot about the cars. However I could not find anything about the body construction. I am assuming it is steel? Is it galvanized or anything to protect it from rust?

thanks for that.
As far as the body tub would be steel then?
Does MB do something to combat corrosion?
I come from the Porsche world. They dip the whole tub. no rust problems.

I think a majority of the frame is aluminum as well.
Regardless of material, every modern car now for decades has been dipped for rust-proofing. Helps get all the internal channels and pockets of the frame covered rather than trying to spray.
Your Yugo was one of the last cars to not have it...

Well that's a hell of an upgrade then!
I'll post a review of the Grom Audio unit I just installed here shortly on both the AMG and this forum.
