Does anyone know how to remove the Sill Plates on a SL550. They are badly scratched and I want to either replace them or get them polished up.

The sill plate at the door just lifts straight up. Pry up from one end and keep going. It has about 6 clips underneath to attach to the metal frame.
I replaced an all plastic sill on my car recently that had cracked. New it was only about $50. The type with the metal AMG logo is probably a little more.
