Pressure Reservoir Faulty

All of a sudden I got the grey BRAKE warning and it comes up as code 2131 "Pressure Reservoir Faulty" My brakes do feel spongy so I suspect the accumulator on the SBC block has failed. Anyone had this and did an accumulator replacement? When it rains it pours apparently.

Had mine replaced three weeks ago at the dealer.
Cost me little over $1200 parts, labor and taxes.
Good luck.

I was able to check the charge in the accumulator using my Star diagnostic. It is just below the lower limit so it has not totally failed but slowly lost some of the charge. I ordered a new one for $320. It is mounted to the SBC block directly behind the RH headlight. Instructions say to remove the bumper and the headlight, but I think I might be able to squeeze it out with the headlight in place. Then comes the brake bleeding which seems to be best done using STAR.
