And do you know where Mercedes got the design for the GLE Coupe? From the X6. Google GLE coupe if you haven't seen the pics. Merc literally copied the design of the X6. They took the body of the X6 and just changed the grill, headlamps, and tail lamps.
I think your X6 is beautiful and I think the new Merc GLE Coupe is beautiful. They're different cars, not meant for everyone to like. The X6 has been selling very well for years, which means huge profits for BMW. That's why Merc copied them and released the GLE Coupe.
I just don't like it when others on here bash the X6 when Mercedes realized their mistake and are creating the same exact SUV......except a decade too late.

We will see what is going to happen with the GLE Coupe.... I think lot of true Mercedes members is not going to like to buy it because its a copy....
seems so hopeless-making.
Chineses tend to copy everything good and now Mercedes.

Way to go excellent testing, but you're far from stock, tuned to 670hp w/hi flo filters & using per your quote
etc etc NOT apples to apples testing & still barely edging out a bone stock RR by maybe 2 car lengths as Bone stock RR runs 12.8x @ 110mph.. New RRS's come w/22"-21" wheel setups... Not a big deal in perf as the gearing is properly matched to these big wheels..
Edit your 22" Hamman wheels are def lighter than stock, they are Forged 1 piece aluminum & will be @ best equal to a slightly smaller diameter stock wheel @ 19"-20" here's link to your Hammans etc. ADD TO WATCHLIST

- OEM stock 20"
275/40*20". Diam. 28,58" / weight.78 lb.
315/40*20".Diam.28,7" / weight.86 lb.
- 19"
all are 255/50*19".Diam 29,06" / weight.74 lb.
-Hamann setup.
295/30*22".Diam. 29" / weight.71 lb.
335/25*22".Diam. 28,7" / weight.75 lb.
So Hamann is a lighter than stock (35 lb al together) even if the wheels are wider. The diam is nearly the same.
So the Hamann setup is better.

It's also where the weight is located. A 19" wheel and tire even if a little heavier will outperform a 22" wheel and tire. With the 22" wheel and tire, the majority of the weight is at the furthest point out on the wheel. That takes more energy than when the weight is closer to the center of the wheel.

Yes,you are right. I understand what you mean.
May be next time I test the 19" at the 1/8 or 1/4 mile.

Today I had a chans to weight al my three wheel setups.
I had wrong info regarding the Hamann setup with the front tire. The front wheel is bigger in dia vs at the rear so ie it "brakes" at the front.
So I think the 19" is better at the next test.(The total weight is almost the same)

Mile
Today was the first time I have test my X6M at the track... One mile.
I got 250,88 km/h (156,8 mph).
Ist a bad or good speed for a SUV?

Congrats and an excellent choice for a fast SUV!
I also have an X5M as a garage mate for my R230!
Mine has 22" BBS SVs with AA tune and Downpipes installed. Indeed, it launches like a fighter plane catapulted off an aircraft carrier.
I absolutely love mine.
My buddy has a white one, which inspired me to buy mine. His is totally stock, mine is tuned and there is definitely a noticeable difference in power between the two. Acceleration and torque are king!

Your car looks wonderfull
Great color also.... its look like a new one....
I thought Im the only MB member which have an M SUV in the carage as a family car..... so Im happy someone else also step in with an M SUV....
Incredible cars!!!!!!
Real Range Rover "killer"......... at the 1 mile race I killed two C6 Corvettes also... they was stock but anyway... : )
I have heard and read the AA tune is a ESS tune? I asked also about it from ESS and the answer was... "we made lot of tunes to different sellers in USA" but they don't answer my question directly.... so who now and its dosent matter.
I have also think to buy downpipes which race cats but have not decide it yet...

That figures... All tunes are similar and there is not a huge market for our vehicles, so it stands to reason that one company should initially develope it then sell it to everyone else to increase the marketability.
Having said that, the AA tune is awesome, yet the downpipes didn't really add anything more other than simply allowing more sounds (and gaseous odors to enter the cabin.... I probably could have obtained the same exhaust note with the super cheap OEM exhaust mod.
Oh, and thank you for your complements.
You are not alone, my friend! X(x)Ms rule!

Hamann dealer paint mine and now the paint has to begun come loose...
I wrote directly to Hamann because the dealer don't answer me at all....
Now the dealer has taken contact and want them bak so they can fix them at warranty....
But I'm not sure anymore if I want them white... maybe matte black this time.
Wheels and tires was very expensive....

Black out the wheels the front grille and the side mirrors it will look much better in my opinion. It looks better in the last picture without the grille on the lower intakes.
The grey X5 looks awesome.

I must have been at least 100 car and good quality cars. This car is the best of all of them to drive.... high speed drive!!!
Incredibly stable and the pace does not seem in any! "Passes as stockinged feet "
Really quiet too.
Very expensive car here... 260 000 Eur... +270 000 USD!!!

Thank you....
19.9.2015 I'm gone test my car at 1/4 mile again.....
I'm gone install my M5 E60 21" wheels at the car. The wheels is 12% smaller in dia and I think also lighter than Hamann.
Very interesting to see how much time is improved....
+ 99 oct fuel.
Hope for low 12 sek...
