Replacing Michelin Pilot SS with Toyo Proxes 4 plus

I fairly new to the MB world , this is my 2nd year owning my SL550 and I LOVE IT !!!! Never had sooo many compliments with a car until this one !!! But I'm writing this thread because I had to buy new tires and after buying new rear Michelin Pilot SS and lasting about 7k miles , I figured I would try an A/S tire with a longer tread life. I was torn by by either sticking with Michelin A.S or going with a different brand altogether. After lots of reading , I deceided to go with the Toyo's. Getting then installed tomorrow. After several days I will give a short review and after a month or 2 another short review. The Toyo's do carry a 500 mile or 45 day exchange/full refund warranty. Either way I'll report back

Well, after 2 days on the new tire , LOVE THEM !! The ride is a little softer over potholes and bumps. I tried to break traction and the tires gripped. Did find out that I need a alignment ASAP. Trying to find a independent shop that can handle the job. But overall the tire has been smooth, quiet and about $250 cheap then buying the Michelin Pilot SS. Money saved will go towards the alignment job lol

Good to hear you like them! Like I said getting ready to replace my tires to I'm still on the original tires and I also need an alignment I need to find an Indy that does that. Any idea what alignments go for on that car not that it matters Got to do what you got to do.

I put the pilot sport 3 on my car today what a difference smooth and quiet and the only charged me $49. Extra to do the 4 wheel alignment so out the door $1299. Not bad for these tires
