hey guys,

have a friend who is looking at an 2004 SL600 that is tuned from what ive heard! It has 68k miles on it. i know that the V12 engines have some maintenance issues, what should he look for and be wary of?? Any input would help, thanks guys!!

$1,500 for coils. The ABC can be very expensive depending on what parts go wrong. Over 5k if major problems.

The motor mounts are hydraulic and will collapse over time, generally by 5 years and 60k miles they should be replaced. The problem is the engine on the V12 must be partially lifted so the turbo's and plumbing clear the mounting bolts.

True motor mounts will need to be done

Idler pullies will fail as will the intercooler pump. Of course, anything associated with ABC.
