Opinions on these rims?
Hi guys,
I have a r230 350 currently on DRC 19" with Pzeros. I'm thinking of picking up some OEM Rims.
Namely:
http://www.ebay.ie/itm/311329232955?...84.m1423.l2648
This is what I currently have the SL sitting on:
My question for you guys is, do look to be Original AMGs? Anyone heard of/dealt with this company before?
TIA

I am a fan of the AMG wheels. The AMG wheels look to have a two-tone effect? Or is that just lighting? I usually like the brighter aluminum color. They are very similar wheels but hey, always nice to have the AMG stuff.

I really like the CLS wheels on the SL. I am going with the SL63 ones that are very similar, but a bit more aggressive. I think the CLS are more formal and the SL64 more sporty. I ordered mine through powerwheelspro.com. If you go to this page you can see the difference between the 2

818 = SL63
823 = CLS
The ones from powerwheelsrpo are NOT authentic, but come from an OEM factory. The link you posted from ebay is a bit suspect on whether they are OEM or not. Looking at their website it appears that they are, but since I don't know what foreign language the website is its hard to tell.

AMG GTC Roadster, E63s Ed.1, M8 Comp. Coupe
They look good though and most importantly have the proper wheel offset (for a CLS) which looks fantastic on the SL.

The Ebay AMG wheels are a much better choice than the replicas. For one, it appears to be a reputable seller and you have legal recourse with Ebay if they turn out to be fake.

I'll post some pics when I have the Calipers done and rims installed.

Wheels sl500
I have the same color car with the AMG package. The wheels being shown look cool to me.
This is what you want to do if you don't mind giving up some ride comfort.
Get some lowering links and drop it about 1-1.25 in all the way around. you will LOVE the LOOK. The in town ride will really suck. Almost as good as a hay wagon. On the interstate you will be good. The look will be very noticeable. Other SL 500 owners will definitely notice something looks different.
