ABC ticking sound
my 03 sl500 (54k miles) has a strange ticking sound that is more noticeable inside the cabin than outside. it appears to be coming from the left front wheel well just behind the tire. it is apparent during acceleration and is not constant. there is the abc servicing light on the dash (blue, not red) and I just replaced the consumer battery in the trunk, anyone have a similar issue and know what the problem is?

The only ABC components in the LF fender well are the pressure regulator valve and pulsation damper. If the system is full of oil but the ABC warning light is on then you may have low or loss of pressure.
You probably need to get the system pressure checked. If it is the regulator valve or pulsation damper, those are well within DIY skills.
How long have you owned your car and what has your ownership experience been like?
Read through attached troubleshooting guide.
Good luck,
Bob
