2003 SL500
Coil Spring Boots
My 2003 SL500, R230, with 26,456 miles has splits in all four boots that cover the coil springs and keeps road grime off the suspension rams. Has anyone replaced these and what is a ballpark dealer price for the job?

Replacement boots are not available, unless you replace the whole shock. Many have tried, but I have not heard of any success. Sounds like a market opportunity to me.
Arnott shocks will cost about $1000 installed by independent mechanics and have lifetime warranty. Dealer will only sell MB shocks at $2000 installed, no warranty.
