MB wants $139 for its tool that holds the Vario Roof open for servicing. I think I can craft a suitable tool with a length of PVC and foam padding. Can you suggest how long the PVC tube should be cut to? Put another way, what is the distance between the Vario Roof leading edge and the windshield cowl trailing edge at the point when the roof wants to fall forward rather than backwards?
