Steering wheel memory
Occasionally my steering wheel does not return to its memory position when I start the car. I have to press the memory button and it will go to its position. It always retracts up but one in 3-4 times does not return. This is a minor complaint but if there is a simple solution I would like to hear.

You might try the convenience features settings on the dash and turn it on/off and see if it helps.
Also try manually running it to the limits in/out - up/ down. This may help it to learn to range, or free up the sensors.
If you have an SDS...check for codes on a quick search.
Last resort...disconnect the rear battery for 10 minutes, and then reboot the car.
Had a similar issue with my seat retracting. With the SDS, I was able to set the retraction value to a higher number, which fixed the issue. SDS has warnings that "this may squeeze a long legged person", but I don't worry about that.

Mine does has done this on occasion. I thought it might be because I was starting the engine before closing the door, but I can't duplicate it consistently. Oh, and no stored DTCs.

If you manually raise the steering wheel while parked with the engine running and do not return it to it's set position, it will not re-set when starting up the car the next time. For example, I stop at my mailbox, leave the engine running, put the car in park, raise the steering wheel before I exit the car and then drive to my garage without returning the steering wheel to it's original position, it will not return to the set position the next time I crank it up. One of the car's many peculiarities.

That makes sense. But in may case, I don't think that's the cause. I never adjust the steering wheel position. I have my seat and wheel set perfectly and memorized and I never change it, with the exception of lowering the headrest if I wear a hat.
