Oil Separator Replacement
The oil separator on my '07 R230 is leaking, and I intend to replace it. I've drilled around the internet looking for a video or tutorial, with no luck. Anybody here got tips and/or suggestions for this work?

Many thanks for those instructions, Bob ... but that not what I need to replace. The oil separator on my R230 is at the rear of the right (passenger's side) cylinder bank. It's a round gizmo ... as in the pic I linked in my 11:43 am post.

The centrifuge housing you show has an updated part number, that is 272 010 04 31 and to replace simply first remove the air filter housing then the hose, then remove the 4 bolts and volia----the torque is stage 1 6 Nm, stage 2 90 degrees
Wada pia---oil seperator

Many thanks, Plutoe. I thought it was a fairly straightforward operation, but our Mercedes Benz's are often fulla little surprises.
