I'm not sure there is one. What are you trying to reset and do you have a STAR computer?

On most models, you simultaneously press and hold the RECIRC and FRONT DEFOG buttons until their indicator lights begin the flash. I've not tried this on an R230.

What does that accomplish, Mate?

On ACC panels that support this, it does a self-test. It runs the dampers through all possible settings and checks the operation of the refrigerant circuit. If the indicators stop flashing after 20-30 seconds, then all is well. If not, then there is an error that needs further diagnosis. As I said, I am not sure if the R230's system supports this or not - I've never tired it.

One more question, Rodney: do you run the test with the engine off and the key turned to the near-start position, or with it idling?

You do this with the engine running, but I tried it on my SL today and it did not respond. I know this does work on W203, W209 and W211 models (and probably other that use that same ACC panel).

One more one last question, Rodney. You posted above: simultaneously press and hold the RECIRC and FRONT DEFOG buttons until their indicator lights begin the flash.

I just tried that on my wife's '07 E350 (W211) ... but the Recirc and the Front Defog button are a single rocker switch: press the top half for the front defog, press the bottom half for Recirc ... but either way it just rocks the switch. Is there a Plan B?

I think that updated style ACC panel doesn't have the option to do a reset without a scan tool. The ones that look like this do work:
