Pre-Safe - GOOF!
According to my service tech, my cars presafe function seems to be activating for some unknown reason.
Sitting at a traffic light at a complete stop, all of a sudden the seat belt tightens down on me.
Parking in my garage, come to a stop, put into park and seat belt tighten downs on me.
Give me a break. This stuff all sounds good in the brochure, but it takes them years to get a the GOOFS out of it.
This one will be interesting to get fixed. I can see the mechanical genius scratching his head on this one. To avoid getting the standard Mercedes response of "UNABLE TO DUPLICATE", I plan on driving the service manager around until it happens. It shouldn't take long.

Sl600?
Is it the SL600 that is giving you the problems? I did not realize the SL had pre-safe. I thought it was an S class only function.

Pre-Safe
Let's just say he is WRONG! No PRE-SAFE in the SL.
What in the world would cause the seat belt to tighten while at a stop. Not stopping at a STOP!

Whoever told you that is dumb. There is no Pre-Safe on SL. Maybe the seatbelt sensors, ( that tighten up and sense if you hit the brakes or whatever) or screwed up.
