Do you have ABC or have you lowered it? I understand you have 20 inch rear wheels, is this a problem with the speedo calibration or are the tires the same outer circumference?
Mine is non ABC and I hate the gap in the rear wheel wells.

ABC was not possible for my car.
I have option 486 : lowered suspension.
No problems with the speedo calibration.
Theyonly had problems with DRL LEDS in bumper and distronic because of other positionings of parking sensors in bumper.
Looks good. You remind me so much of a friend of mine here in Atlanta who loves changing it up.
That option 486 I thought was for S LK's only
This is a standard option in euro models when getting a the AMG sport package.
There is also a free option to remove the lowered suspension (which is what the U.S. has).
The SL was bougt as a weekendcar. but after a year of ownership it became a daily driver in autumn, spring and summer. The S is the daily driver in winter now.
