Custom r231 Job photos coming soon
So I have begun customizing my 2013 sl550 r231.
Engine wise, i did a ECU tuning from Ecu tuning group in Beverly Hills. Jaggs was super helpful. He did a great job reworking everything and the car is sickly fast as a result. A total different animal.
Next I had a fully custom stainless exhaust system built. They removed the 2nd cats, and did a cat back system with new sport mufflers and a resonator delete.
They put a x pipe in place of the H pipe. Smoothed out the ride and added a nice sound. Not over bearing. I the car is silver. I had the grill completely glossed in black, the lower light bars on front bumper, the rear defuser the vents and gills, the side mirrors etc. rear star was also glossy black painted.
The car looks like the 2look edition without the two tone roof. Considering that next. Also rear wing added in black. I also had custom wheels done to match the new paint.
Pictures coming next week and video. if anyone can think of anything else I should do feel free to share. I also highly recommend ECU tuning group. jaggs was so helpful and does great work.

Photos please. What ECU tuning did they do? Their own custom thing or Renntech or ??? What is the difference in horsepower and torque? And finally what did it cost? I live in Los Angeles and am interested.

K so per Jagg at their shop. They created the program that they sold to Renntech. The references he provided included the RR dealer in Beverly Hills and a few other exotic dealers. His reviews were great. He also commented that the renntech doesn't do as much as he will do. He adjusted the tran. etc. Dyno results after the tune are 516 hp 618lbs and top over 201. They open the ecu and re seal it exactly like the factory. It was 1500. awesome work and car was only out for 6 hours. I can send pics of the total project saturday morning.

There are the photos. A little late. I had I am Ted 7 do the photos. he is amazing and does a ton, i have other 90 photos all high res. He shoots the gold rush and a ton of races. Good guy if you want photos in the southern cali area. Open to recommendations of what to do next. I have a full ecu mod, transmission mod, the renntech auto lowering kit, renntech locking dif. a custom built 3.5 inch cat back exhaust. RacingBrake pads for dust reduction etc, smart top and smart tv. I don't know anything else i can do...
Ted whited out the ugly blinker on the car, the orange is horrible, he did it in some pics so i can decide what to do about it. Open to suggestions regarding that if anyone has any ideas

Very nice looking car, a bigger brake rotor kits that can fill up more to the larger rims certainly can enhance the "look" and performance.
We can also build the extremely light weight CCM rotor kits (390mm front and 380mm rear). Complete car kits with RB calipers around $16K if anyone is interested.

Some awesome mods there! Congrats!
I think the car is still a bit tall when standing and would drop it a bit more. Also, I really like the 2look edition because it creates the look of a soft top roadster. You also painted the A-pillars which kind of diminishes the effect IMO.
Envious of the extra power. No good local tuners where we are,,,

Hey Wolfman, yeah the height is a good call. I get on that one next. as for the A Pillars, this was a tough decision. I did just the top first, and it looked weird, unfinished. about 50% of people liked it and 50% didn't I went ahead and did the A Pillars, and think it really helped to finish the project out. The power and sound is insane, love it. It honestly is like a new car.
