2014 SL550 Command

I am having some problems with the Command system and any help will be greatly appreciated.

1) No matter what I do I can not get the Music Register "Copy" menu item to show up. The music register shows no files, the info shows 10 Gig available, there is an SD card and a USB flash memory in and they both play the music that is on them. When I go to the Music Register and show the choices, the copy option is not even in the list.

2) While playing around with Command Audio I ended up with a "Volume" Choice in the bottom selection area. When selected it had two sub choices, Standard and Boost. Does any one know what this is for, and more interestingly how to get to it again. I have not been able to get the Volume choice to show up again and it is not described in the interactive manual.

Also I am able to use a 64GB SD card from PINY and I do not see any issues. I normally use a 16GB card as that is big enough for my needs.

Is there any way to read out the firmware version of the Command system and is there any information on what is the current release?

Any advice appreciated.

This is from my memory of 1 1/2 years ago, but I believe that you can only copy from CDs.

But that is not what the instructions in the interactive op manual state. Perhaps there needs to be at least one cd in the changer. I know on my SL63 I copied from the SD card. I will try that. Thanks

I originally tried to use the register but found I could only copy CDs onto it (a very slow process). In my experience, keeping your music on the SD card or USB drive works much better than trying to use the internal HD.
