Battery Dead after 5 days
Hi All
I have a 2014 SL550 (R231). It have 2800 miles on it. I have had two instances when returning from vacation the car was dead. I have had the battery replaced once by roadside. The other time they jumped it to get it running. I hardwired a Deltran Battery Tender Plus to the battery in the trunk. The Tender never gets to maintenance mode and is unusually hot to the touch. Any input would be appreciated.
Thanks

Typically you check for items which are not going to sleep by measuring amp draw from the battery while you pull each fuse one at a time.
Have you requested warranty repair, they should be able to sort it out?
My battery died once and then never came back properly, trickle charger would get real hot. Bought a new battery.

Thanks Jerry...I was hoping it was something simple. I'll call and have it looked at.

You have something drawing juice. My play toy for the past 9 months has been a motorcycle. Between the motorcycle and business trips, I have probably driven my car 100 miles in 9 months.
No issues with a dead battery even though it sits locked for weeks at a time.
