I have contacted over half a dozen parts dealers in my hunt for the R231 Euro Spec Sport Springs to lower my SL550. In the process, I found these Eibach springs which offer a 25MM drop -- less than an inch.

Any thoughts on these versus the HR springs which drop 1.25" front and 1.2" rear -- if I recall correctly? I've heard the HR springs appear universally disliked on this board because of what it does to the ride quality... but this leads me to wonder if the <1" drop from Eibach would maintain ride quality.
