The ECU is in the pass side footwell up on the firewall.
I don't know about the black box but it could have something to do with cruise control. MB used a Philco brand back then. |

I'm not sure what the black box is for but there shouldn't be anything "Ford" in your 107.

Don't be too sure on that. MB used a fridgidaire (GM) ac compressor on the early 107 and a Philco (Ford) cruise control.
