Hello I have a 1979 450 SLC for sale . The car has 36,203 original miles on it , we had purchased the car in late 1997 , My mother barley drove the car , she my have driven the car once or twice a month , she would only drive it to church or to friends house . It was a spare car for her (her little toy)she has a Lexus suv that is her everyday means of transportation anyway . She is the 2nd owner of the vehicle in 2002 she just stop driving in . the interior is in mint condition . the only thing wrong with the inter is the wood grain around the shifter other then that it is in mint condition . The exterior needs some work there is some rust on the trunk and the paint has started to fade (its a 32 year old car) the car has never been wrecked , there is no dents or scratches . the car has not been driven since late 2002 early 2003 . My father would start the car once a month or so for 10-15 min just to make sure everything was ok . The car is located in Metairie La. (New Orleans) from the time we parked the car in 03 until 05 it started on the first crank . The bad thing is the car has been sitting since 05 we have not tried to start it , it has just been sitting for 6 yrs .From the day my mother had purchased it all maintenance and service was done by Mercedes of New Orleans , the same place where the original owner purchased it and also maintained it (we still have all his receipts and our) Its a beautiful looking car even though the paint has faded . We are trying to sell the car as cheap as possible . It is a great fixer up er and for a cheap price . When my mother use to drive the vehicle people use to stop her pretty often and ask her if she was interested in selling it .
