I've been helping a friend put some life back into his 450SL. Little by little we've been restoring and rejuvenating it. So far we have done some repair and maintinence along with a new sound system and Porsche Recaro seats.
The next thing we'd like to do is replace the steering wheel with something smaller. Do you know if the steering wheel from a newer Mercedes vehicle is interchangable?
Also where can we get a new A/C control panel? I tried ordering one from Ecklers but all they carry is a woodgrain cover panel, is this something the dealer would still carry, or what are some of your preferred sources for restoration parts?
