Mercedes 450 SL 1980, rough running and warm start problem!
Hello.
I have a problem with my Mercedes SL 450, it is running rough and is not as fast as it should be. If the car is cold it fires up immediately, and if i run it till its warm and then try to start it, it also fires right up. But if I stop the engine while its hot, and wait for maybe 20 min, then it wont fire up. Then I have to wait for it to get cold, and it will start again. The car also spits a bit black smoke, especially when cold.
I have changed the plug and wires, and also the rotor cap and distributor. But nothing really changed.
Summary:
Rough idle and running
Engine not starting when hot
Starting immidiately when cold
Spiting black smoke of the exhaust
I would appreciate any help, and I apologize for my bad english.
