Greetings everyone. I'm a fairly new member,and thought I'd introduce myself. I've got myself a 87 560SL that's pretty boss. It still starts right up upon first crank and drives like a champ. It's power is decreasing, but I blame that on age. Anyway, the car has 208,823 miles on it. I've recently put it in the garage, and is now in the process of becoming my show car, and as well as my money pit.

I had the idea to attempt to custom make the grill to light up with LED's like the new models. Has anyone ever looked at this?

At 208K + the car has definitely paid it's dues. Mine drives me crazy with electrical and fuel glitches. As far as the grill....I have no interest in doing it, but you might try to find a shop in the area that does custom audio and interior work. They may be able to fashion something from the "street tuner" gadgets used by the Honda/Scion/Toyota guys. Getting the LED parts through MB would likely be an astronomical cost.
