Chrome Wheels for 1982 380SL
I'm thinking of replacing my alloy (painted) wheels with sleek chrome ones. Are the ones at Adsit or Ecklers reliable? I love the chrome look.

ADSIT RIMS
This is Joe with the Adsit Company. Yes we do have the chrome rims for your car available and in stock! We specialize in Mercedes Rims only and have been selling them for over 30 years.
These do come with new lug bolts and center caps. These also come with a one year warranty. Obviously if you hit a curb or pot hole that is not covered, but we do warranty them against defects.
Oh and we have never had one of our wheels "shatter" as another poster has suggested. These rims are one of our staple products and we believe you would be very happy with the look and quality of our chrome rims.
We look forward to serving you and all your future Mercedes Parts needs.

I stated they are cast not forged like OE which are made by Fuchs. Are they not cast?
How would you know if one cracked or shattered? As you stated if you hit a curb it is not covered under warranty so it why would you be notified.
I was merely advising on the difference between OE and aftermarket so the buyer can make an informed purchase.

No I totally understand your post. I was just stating none have "shattered."
Yes we would know if they where shattering or bending on customers. I know if I paid $200 for a wheel and it broke I would be calling my supplier, warranty or not!
I was not trying to pick on or your debunk your post. There are a lot cheap wheels on the market and your post was spot on.
I was just stating we do have a very nice high quality rim that we are very proud of and believe our current and future customers would be happy with.
On a side note we do carry OEM new, reconditioned and used rims as well!
Thanks
Joe
