SL/R107: 77 450sl starter problem

77 450sl starter problem
Just got a 77 450sl and started a rebuilt. the first problem is i turn the key to start but nothing. no sounds or clicks. just some clicks from the blower motor compartment. Is there a way to jump the starter or some wiring to check? Thanks
