An 87 560SL is worth???
Howdy, I just looked at and drove an 87 560SL w/138k on the clock. It's def. not perfect, pass. window stuck down, seems to be the switch ($10), but could always be the regulator/motor ($500+). Owner tells me soft top has a couple tears in it (didn't put it up, raining & cold out), heat/ac controls seem to do nothing, small rot spot in rocker, tears on passenger seat... but the damn thing runs and drives great!!! Body straight, trans shifts flawlessly, guages work (even the clock!) Also has hardtop. Just trying to guesstimate what this thing's worth... any ideas appreciated! Thanks!

Hardtop was standard so that does not add any value. No maintenance records showing timing chain service.? Torn soft top and rust. $4,000.00. IF you can replace the soft top and do the timing chain. service yourself maybe a bit more. Those two are around 3K to have an indy do them. The rust you see is indicative of hidden rot.
