No cabin heat anywhere...

Good evening all,

New to me 1983 MB 380SL owner and first post. When using the climate controller in any mode including the upper defroster I have no heat. All I have is what the fan blower produces. The previous owner had a new mono-valve kit and thermostat that was not installed but included with the purchase. I installed the mono-valve but still blows ambient air.

Observations:
- I have approximately 13 volts between the two mono-valve pins
- The mono-valve input/output hose never gets hot, barely warm
- I can adjust the climate controller dial and it increases or decreases fan speed (fan mode center position)
- All fuses in passenger side panel have continuity between fuse ends
- The temperature gauge measure approximately 82

I plan on replacing the thermostat since I already have one available. Do you think this will help? I'm open for suggestions.

Thank you!

Have you checked your aux water pump? Do it soon. When those go bad they often burn out the push button module. The push button module in you console costs around $300 to replace. I just had to replace mine after the aux water pump seized up.
