Removal/replacement of 87 SL560 HVAC control unit

Got tired of searching .... I want to remove and replace the HVAC push button control unit in my 87 SL560. Anything of note I need to know before attempting to do so? Words of wisdom? Special tools? Dexterity factor? Things I should do while in there?

I believe you must start by removing the ash tray holder and pulling the wood panel forward. The climate control unit is screw in to the back of the panel. just make sure the bulbs are working while you are there.

Yup. 560SL. A dyslexic moment. Blame it on my wife's SC430 .
And thanks for the responses!
