Could one of you "Houdini's" tell me how to remove the second relay to the
Left looking into the back of the glove box area.
There must be a trick to this .....Steve

Maybe he really did 'give up' and he sold the car??

I honestly did not give up...honestly

I had to replace the dual fuel pumps anyway due to residue of leakage so "My Guy" replaced the fuel pump relay at the same time....Had no problems since...
Sorry for not getting back sooner guys...I travel a great deal and just got back..regards and thanks

Fuel pumps and relay 560SL

The bottom line was that I measured the current pulled by the pumps and that value was steadily increasing with a drop off in fuel pressure. Sooo we replaced both pumps as you know they are in parallel. The relay, (appears) to have some current protection associated and it was opening and therefore dying...
The problem however is RESOLVED...STEVE
