Though I am no expert in this forum regarding mercedes, but indeed I can confirm that you can lower ANY of mercedes Airmatic/ABC suspension through Merc's original star program. From what AMG Tech Manager from Germany told me, they can reduce all the way up to 3cm but would only do for up to 2cm because more then 2 cm they feel a lof of calibration of the tyres like axle, cambers, allignment need to be mess with. And it does not improve handling to a certain extend.

I got mine lowered 2cm by AMG. Its almost 1 inch. 0.85 to be exact i think. More then that, I think you'll have to go with lowering modules. Btw if anyone wants to know, I paid around Euro$200 extra for the lowering. And around Euro$1000 for the delimit of top speed. Well at least thats what the dealer told me. Might be getting ripped off. I dont know.
