Don't crash the semi circular bruise on the side of the face is hard to explain not to mention other possible disasters. I am talking from first hand experience. Be safe

Tenacious!! I like that word.. might name a daughter after that.. Nah..
Good question.. Because I bought it years ago and it's just collecting dust..
I'm currently building another motor for my E55 that will have a Weistec blower on it with upgraded internals so I decided not to go All Out on this motor. Plus having an SLR blower will be pretty unique even though the only difference are the drive gears. I have a smaller S/C pulley for it and I'm interested in seeing the amount of boost gained. Might just leave my stock crank pulley on.. we'll see..

100% agree with you on the fact that the weistec SC do not look very good.

I don't say a word... The 18 wheeler gets about 1 truck length ahead, on my ladies pass side, he blows train horn while giving DUALLY smiling/laughing his *** off, in his giant rearview mirror.. My X looks up punches my shoulder etc etc but quickly laughed it off as she saw how damned funny the sitch was & how it made the truckers month.. ALL-TIME BEST TRUE story evarrrr I told all her girlfriends etc I was celebrity for the day w/other guys w/girlfriends...

Thanks for the kind words and support!!
Still waiting for the go-fast parts to be bolted on and tuned. I return stateside the beginning of June and I'm hoping ACG will have it completed by then..

FINALLY!!
Sooooo.. I picked up my SL55 from ACG a couple weeks ago!!
We still have a few bolt on items to complete this build, but the motor is broken in and I decided to drive it for a bit since it's been soooo long. The car just has 23K miles on the clock and still rides like new. The motor runs perfectly and pulls hard and sounds amazing at WOT!! The ride to Vegas from San Diego was a blast and I’m so glad I never gave up on this build. I’m looking forward to putting many miles on this thing and driving it all around the country. The SL55 roadster is the perfect car for freeway cruising!!
Here’s the current mod list:
Weistec Forged Pistons
Ported Heads
PTE Cams with Ti Retainers
Larger Injectors
HE Cooler and pump
MBH Long Tube Headers with ACG custom X-pipe and full 3” straight exhaust
Wavetrac LSD
Still have to add..
82mm TB
TQ Converter
Weistec TCU Upgrade
390mm front brake rotors
I decided not to do any custom fab work as to not take any more down time so I’m passing on the 90mm TB and SLR blower for now. Honestly, I don’t even want to bring it back to ACG because it feels so good having it back and parked in my garage!! I'm happy with the mod list for now and it's currently strong and healthy! I’m also thinking of keeping it on stock boost with just intake and exhaust mods, because this motor has to last me the rest of my life if I want to recop all the cash I dumped into it!!
Thanks to everyone at ACG that helped get this car back on the road again!!

You need the extended bracket kit for the stock calipers to go from 360mm/14.2" stock rotors to the 390mm/15.4" upgraded rotors..

Dude I am so happy for you to have this car back. Like you said, the perfect daily cruiser.
Just a few bits a pieces to finalize and as always a little more power isn't going to hurt.
Thank you again for being so patient, you sir are a saint!

No, this is not the VRP 5.7. This is a used 55K I purchased with 30K miles, we tore it down and started from scratch..
Yes, ACG dyno tuned it. Honestly, I didn't even ask what it dynoed at since they still have a few more bolt on mods. I basically just showed up at their shop and asked to drive it for a bit since it was broken in. It's definitely healthy and sounds amazing with those long tube headers and no cats or resonators!!
I asked Tal to post the dyno file if they still have it.
I'll post some pics and videos when I get a chance..
The VRP 5.7 is going into my E55. I installed Darton MID sleeves into that block, purchased new ported 55K heads with larger valves and stronger valve springs and currently waiting for new custom pistons and rods. Plan on throwing a Weistec blower on it and calling it a day..
