I love You Havoc. A real Horsepower-junkie Like we should find more !!!!! The thread is so good to read . I can't wait to see Top-mount intercooler on your engine, Who is maybe the first M113K engine in the whole world with increased displacement. Only a german company called vath offer such an upgrade but I(ve never seen it mounted on a car.
If you remember I PM'ed you once to ask if you considered the top mount intercooler as a good upgrade. I always thought it would be the "cherry on the cake " for your engine.
Congrats !!! Feed us with pics !!!

I am a true horsepower-junkie! LOL!
Yes, I remember your pm. I can’t describe how excited I was once Vadim agreed to fabricate the SLR type coolers. So mad props to Vadim for taking up that project!!
My 5.7L will definitely benefit from them. The stock 55K intercooler and intake system is a huge restriction and for me not to upgrade it would be such a loss. If Vadim’s top mounted coolers can help bring boost back down while at the same time increase power, then my 5.7L will be more efficient at producing more power than a stock 55K or perhaps an SLR 55K.
That my friend is the key to longevity and durability which is something I’m after because I’m going to drive my SL55 like there’s no tomorrow!!

I'll keep you all posted with the final results!
Yes, I will definitely bring my beast out to some meets as I would like to meet all of you guys. Once my car is completed I'll take more time off to go on road trips so I can start enjoying it.

Yes, I probably could have found a cheaper route, but then again, there are tuners that would have charged me way more.
As for as the timeline, we had delays and I always told Victor to take his time so no worries there. It is what it is and we’re not finished yet so I expect to have a few more hurdles before the project is completed.
All that matters is the end product!
If you were to ask me if I would do it all over again I would probably say, “Hell Yeah!”

No Matter the money... What I like is individuals who are'nt afraid of spending huge amount of time & money to make such great projects exists.
BTW, I want to write an open letter to all The emirati SLR owners .
Dear owners, you are all wealthy emirati citizens. Why not doing a charity gift and accept to ship your SLR Supercharger (With special gearing) to Mr Havoc So He could have the last ultimate ultimate mod for His SL. Anyone ??

After months of delays due to the fire in the shop and me trying to order keys while working from overseas, Vadim has started to install the 5.7L, transmission and torque converter, and SLR type coolers.
^^ looks like the pic of the SLR type coolers didn't download!

It's time to introduce FEDOR DEZYN's 55K top mount SLR type coolers!
These bad boys have double cooling surface area and flows double amount of air compared to our stock 55K intercooler.
This picture is the completed but unfinished version.

These coolers are massive! Pics don't do them justice. Vadim utilized all the available space under hood to build these bad boys!
Yeah, I think I can forget about my engine cover for now. LOL! Vadim is putting a brushed aluminum finish on them with polished stainless intakes.

Nope, not yet. I paid for mine months back to get the project started so he gave me the Havoc special discount. I got a sweet deal!
Vadim will post a thread about these coolers shortly. He wanted to wait to post info until they were completed and tested. I on the other hand couldn't wait since I've been knowing about them for some time now.
These are the only ones made so far and we'll start testing them shortly.
For now, all eyes are on Victor's 5.7L as Vadim is about to bring her back to life.

Hey guys! The 5.7L is alive once again and running well.
For now it retains the stock intake, exhaust, boost, and ECU for break-in. I drove a few hundred miles to help break it in and it sounded awesome. I love its lopy idle. The rear breaks loose with ease and pulls pretty hard as it sets you back in the seat.
Next is to fabricate the headers and exhaust, heat exchanger and intake for the top mounted coolers, increase the boost with a larger crank pulley, and then tune the ECU and TCU.
Stay tuned...
Even though my car sat for a while, I had no issues with it and she rides just like the last day I drove it. I finally waxed it and she shines nicely again. My only issue is that my wheels have taken a beaten by the weather, but I'll refinish them later.
A few pics...
Enjoy!

I'll post pics of the coolers once installed and a vid of the lumpy idle once my open exhaust is built.
Yeah, I expect to have some hurdles along the way, but we should be able to over come them.
I'll keep you all posted.

Congrats!!!!! This ought to show people that Vadim is a pioneer and goes where no other MB performance hardware designer dares venture including the big boys.
That top-mount intercooler will be the rage for all 55K cars. For those 55K owners that bashed Vadim recently, I'm going to assume there will be a price premium or the slogan "we refuse the right to serve anyone" may apply.
I am extremely happy for you as we were both being ridiculed for our patience. I believe Vadim will come through with my car too.

One more thing...Since your 5.7 is running so well. Vadim told me that my damaged block can be bored out to 6.1 and iron sleeved. I'm glad Hooley backed out of purchasing my block.
