2014 SL63 AMG R231
SL63 MCT issues
I have a 2009 SL63 Silver Arrow with the MCT transmission. My question is: does anyone know if they have updated this wetclutch/transmission for the newer 2011 models? I am looking for a fix but I and frustrated and may have to go thru a buy-back procedure. I have had the valve body and the wet clutch replaced. Has anyone tried anything else that worked?

SL63 Transmission
We originally had some hard and jerky shifting when the car was first started up. Several trips to the dealer in Belmont, CA seems to have cured the problem about 99% of the time. Very happy I stayed with the car. Now have about 10,000 miles on the odo.

I have had both SL63 2009 and the later 2013 bi turbo.
I would say the gearbox is better in the 2009 car, this maybe because
it has lower torque allowing the double clutch to work. The 2013 car felt
like an auto box but with a TT engine it had far more torque.
Then I came to my senses and bought a 230 SL65 AMG, the best
