These are not cheap cars!! News flash!

Just because they have depreciated to the price of a Corolla, they are still a $130K+ car and as a result things can get pricey to fix and maintain.

With the ABC system, as with many others, maintenance is critical, fluid changes, etc. The ABC system was designed to make this car handle like it weighs half what it does. It works and your best bet is to fix and maintain.

The longer I have mine, the fewer I see on the road. These cars were a first for many AMG/MB features and performance. As time goes on and it becomes a classic, the value will be in originality, not cars that are cobbled together.

Expensive but very impressive.
If you like this, check out Platinum VIP Phantom Cups or KW HLS...

Suspension Sport are on full ignore mode. No replies to calls, emails etc. and its been weeks since they said they would send the suspension. Will start legal procedure now.

Any updates on driving capability following installation of coil-overs and sway bars?

I just did a conversion on my 03 E55 after the front left strut failed and allowed the entire car to slam down. I went with the Arnott kit for 1500. I dont race my car on the track so I cant speak to exact performance numbers but I will say the ride is WAY
better and the handling is amazing. It was indeed a ***** to install, the fronts were easy but the rear was a mother F###er. Well worth the aggravation to not ever have to worry about being stranded with a failed component.

SL600
I'm working with Jeff at Mercedes MasterTech in Florida for the first SL600 (that I know of) Coilover conversion. My requirement was that they be adjustable, so I was originally looking at the KW struts. Jeff fab-ed these adjustable units up using Bilstien struts and Eibach springs. I think these saved me about $2K Vs KW. Replaced tandem pump with one off an SL350 and the sway-bars are going on this week. I'll post final pics when the conversion is complete hopefully early next week.

Definitely keep us in the loop. I really can't stand ABC.

If it drops a bunch of weight I'm on board. Otherwise I don't see much point.

They would be infinitely more reliable, would be lighter, and would get rid of the horrible road feel of ABC.

I know the stock ABC has its shortcomings, but aftermarket coil over shocks I bet have a failure rate/1000 units at least as great as the MB stuff. Coil overs probably won't leave you stranded though when disaster strikes.

Also, I used to think ABC rode like a dump truck until I replaced all the accumulators/ flushed the fluid. I like it a lot now but am always open minded towards improvements.
