Prior Design, Brembo GT Big Brake kit, and SL63 facelift parts ordered and paid for......I've jumped off the cliff so no turning back now!!!!
The Forgelines still need finalization but we are going with the ones I posted.
We have some surprises on final paint color and interior leather...I'm very excited on what we are coming up with...very excited.

Check this thread Jon.. Headlight swap is a bit more complex..
I ended up going to (2) different shops to get my headlights to work properly.. Errors + low light output etc as you have to get NEW Ballasts for ea light

Since all your builds suck-***, I'll refrain from commenting.
Hey, so if something happens and your rear bumper and diffuser become available, ping me.
BTW, my little Tampa getaway, just turned into Riviera Maya instead. I may still try to make the Skins/Bucs game though. If that's the case...I'll need a car to borrow. Just leave the keys, to the one of your choice at the airport for me, in a locker. Don't forget to include a Post-It note of the parking space you left it at, for me.

Not yet...C2Design is just finalizing the 993 Turbo build now...so when that wraps up in about 3 weeks the SL65 and the 997tt convertible builds go full bore.
The Prior Design kit is in...except for the headlights which I'm being promised (Lordy some of these aftermarket vendors have warped sense of turnaround time) is "on its way."

After speaking with C2Design and getting tired of keeping black clean...decided on a color change.
Either Palladium Silver or Artic White...plus I think the color change will highlight the wide body of the package vs. keeping it black. While I love my murdered out look...it's been played out. Back in 2007/08 when I started blacking out my E55 and then the SL65...it was a bit unique...now pretty played out.
Plus...Chris@C2 says we can get the SL65BS rear spoiler to add to the look...
If you look on the Prior Design website: http://www.prior-des...ercedes_sl_r230
They have 3 kits...I'm going for just the wide body...the 3rd kit is just a basically a BS replica. I like the middle version only because it isn't trying to mimic the BS completely...it just looks like an SL63 took a good amount of growth hormone and got yolked. It's not as wide as the BS kit but it still retains the SL63 rear (which I like better)...but I like BS rear spoiler so we will combining the best of both worlds.
I can retain my current Revozport rear diffuser...we are just going to refinish it in satin to match the rear wing, side vents, side mirrors, and front spoiler lip.
The wheels...man we have been going over and over so many styles...from super concave (DPE's), deep dish step up lips (Rotiform SJC's), to forged magnesium wheels...still not sure which way to go. Basically a style battle between C2 and me right now...I like the old school look of the Rotiforms SJCs but Chris is feeling it might make the look too dated... We will get there eventually...here are some pics of possible wheels choices...first 5 are the Rotiform SJC's...

The parts looks really good and the quality as well
At the weekend I'm gone start to replace the "old" parts....
I have not decide yet if I'm gone paint all parts separately except the rear fender parts.
Have you decide which way you are gone do the paint work?

Today I have change the hood and take of the front pumper. It was not difficult at all.... I saw that the new front pumper does not have the PDC sensors holes so I must made new holes and glue the PDC sensors at the new front pumper.

Based on the interior color change, we are down to two...MB Palladium Silver and the Porsche GT3RS dark graphite color.
I'm leaning towards the Palladium but we are going to see leather samples and put them up against the paint samples to determine the right combination. I wanted something different from just black on black...and I loved my the color of my wife's C250 Palladium coupe.
We shall see...

The Prior Design is completely in house now...the headlights arrived today. Just waiting for my 993Turbo build to finish (a week or so) and a discussion with the paint and body specialist we are using for the Prior build...from my understanding it will be at the body shop awhile to get things just right.
The leather samples for the interior are supposed to be coming in soon...I AM really excited about this...it will look so much luxurious if we pull this off. Also additional carbon fiber will be added inside...that will be a surprise for your guys.
In addition to things we will tackle is making sure the Airmatic is up to snuff...7 year old car...got to do it. ALSO...the battery drain problems that seems to be rampant in the AMG and MB community...
Here are pics of the headlights...
