dismantling the power steering .......
Does anybody know the right procedure for dismantling the power steering pump? I’m taking the engine out following STAR but when it comes to the steering pump; then it’s not correct so if anybody has any experience about this,…………………….. please let me know.

it should come right out. beforehand make sure you relieve pressure in the abc system otherwise a quart of your pentosin will be on the ceiling.
remove as many hoses as you can without removing the pump as once it is wiggling around some hoses are very hard to remove.

Thanks a lot for the advises ........ I removed the AC and could work "easy" on the power steering pump!
Tomorrow the engien should come out ............ will start with diconecting the driveshaft ..... not easy when I only have 25 cm. back down there ...... glad I dont mind cramp spacese ..... just worried about seen anything ....... everything is very close .... had just started using glasses ))

funny you should mention that- i am seeing (or not seeing) the same thing- if i am not working on a lift, but under jackstands, i cant see very well - my focal distance is increasing and right now it is greater than the distance i have when i am under a vehicle... and i cant move my head back...
argh....
