I had the roof open today and when I got home I started to close it. About half way closed I heard a loud crack and the roof stopped moving. I tried again and the roof closed but the trunk lid remained in the open position. I could see that the flaps were half closed and all that I got was a whirring sound but no movement. I was able to get the flaps closed using flat plastic wedges and the trunk lid closed.
Does any one have any ideas as to what needs to be replaced?

I just had exactly the same thing happen to me this weekend. Did you figure out what the issue was/what the loud "crack" came from? I got the roof closed as well, but the trunk lid does not open when the roof is actuated (the locks disengage and the roof starts to retract even though the trunk lid does not tip back, so I think the pump is working).
