Painted my calipers
So I decided to paint my calipers while I wait for my new wheels to be built, I really like yellow but Ronnie already did his yellow so I didn't want to be identical. I also chose the curved font over straight, but later discovered the seller has the same curved font for "Brembo" the AMG still looks cool though. I painted them myself using high temp primer, paint, decal, and clear I think it was over kill on high temp sprays since I don't track my car.

First poster here. Had my calipers painted by the company who almost exclusively repairs all of the high end exotic cars for dealers in the Atlanta and surrounding area, located in Smyrna, Georgia, called Magnum Collision. My SL65 is 2007 with 9,500 miles, Capri Blue. Painted the calipers to match with silver stenciling. They did such a great job, I am going to take my wifes SL65 Designo Mystic White to have hers done as well.
Will paint the calipers Mystic White with Red Stencilling. Since this is my first time posting, can someone tell me how to attach or send the pics to show? I do not facebook, tweet etc. Thanks.

How are those calipers holding up with just paint its been a year now are you happy with the going the paint route and not the powder coat route?

The painted calipers are holding extremely well. They look as good today as they did just after having it done. Also had my wife's SL65AMG designo Mystic White calipers painted by same to match. Both sets of calipers hers and mine are holding up as if new.

It's amazing how such a little change can have such a big effect on the car.

My painted calipers are holding up very well after all this time, all I do is wipe them down to dry after a car wash. Here is a quick picture, btw what looks like paint chips at the edges are simply the camera flash reflecting back; they are absent of any chips.

I just got my ADVO5 DC 20/21" and was also thinking of painting the calipers since you can really see them now. TAG wanted to do them in red, because like your car mine is red, but I always thought powder coat was better than paint especially for such areas. I may photoshop to see what the calipers may look like first, although that bronz looks pretty nice too (almost like they are hot).
