never heard back from the guy. that did kind of start this selling thing though. have looked at a couple gtr's so far, and the looks aren't winning me over since there is soooo much in that price range that is gorgeous, but the performance and ability to mod is undeniable!

What an amazing car, and great work! I would like nothing more than to do that to mine! You just don't see kits that look like they belong like yours does! What do you think the entire kit would cost to have done?

I see you're in Portland. Would love to see the car in person. Not a buyer just want to lay my eyes on it.

still got it. I actually just listed it again on ebay. still hardly any miles on it since the build. not even a rock chip.

Stunning car you really did a fantastic job! I'm amazed but also completely understand why, you are selling it.
Question - Do you recall where did you sourced the affalterbach emblem you placed in the center of your steering wheel?
Thanks,

Wow, what a car! Between you and AMGfan, I think you have a pair of the most beautiful SL's out there! Maybe you to should put them in the same garage overnight and I'll take the pick of the litter! ;-)

I really like the color and build. But just curious why some build these just from a SL55 or 600 rather than the SL65 with RENNtech performance mods. Just preference?

I personally wanted an SL55 and not a 65 for a few reasons.
Anything I get is going to be modified so any warranty is useless. A 65 out of warranty is as appealing as dental work even for someone like me who can do any of the work myself. The V8s have mod parts that are much more readily available ,and the sound of a blown V8 is the quintessential sound of a performance machine in my opinion.

I think I got them off ebay. they are supposed to be used for wheel centers but the size was almost exactly the same.

considering there is the sl500, sl600, sl55, and sl65, you may find the number about equal for all models doing the widebody kit. in honesty, I bought it with the intent of leaving it stock and concentrating on my other projects. you see how that went!

miles schmiles. it comes with a spare motor, haha. come on down and take a look. you may have to do it in person as a crow bar may be needed to actually get the keys out of my hand. again, I don't need to sell, really don't even want too, I am just helplessly addicted to cars and once I get one done it sits. I am already renting space to store other cars as garage is full. call me weird but there is soooo many bad *** cars out there I want to experience them all! even if just briefly.
my guilty pleasure car list is huge!

a pantera is near the top of my list. the group 5 body work would be a must! I have my eye on an rcr sl-c right now. but it may be gone before I get a chance at it.

I saw this car in person last weekend in the Mercedes Corral at the PIR Historic races. It's quite nice and a real head turner.

ok guys, here it is. my new car is waiting for me and this has to go. it is on ebay right now for $59000. I am willing to go to $54000 if a deal can be made next week! there is no chance in hell you are ever going to get a car like this for this price again!
