Sl55 brakes on sl500
Hey guys I am new to the forum . I have a sl500 that has a kleeman super charger on it. I wanted to upgrade the brakes to sl55 brakes. I picked up a set off ebay, and I wanted to know if the rear brakes will fit without paying a fortune. I have gotten a few conflicting answers. They say the fronts will fit with no issues. Just not a answer on the rear . Any help will be appreciated . Thanks

Cm60k if you mean dust covers when you say protective plates I was gonna modify/trim the stock ones on. The car currently .
Also thanks for everyone that chimed in with info. Was worried that I needed some major mods to make these work.

Yes, its the dust plate, you can modify it, by cutting it to give the caliper some space to fit well,,
don’t worry, SL55 brake set-up is soo simple to chime in.....

As i remember; brakes from "SL55" or "SL63" can be fit perfectly in your nice "SL350",,
but, it's better to post your "SL350" VIN #, for more confirmation..

the better choice would be the performance pkg, or equal to the 65 2 piece fronts.like 06 07 08 cars. I believe some are 8 piston? but they are bigger

Yeah, MB provided (Brembo's) 8-pot on (55K & 600 & 65) models from "Oct/02 to Jan/07",,
then replace them to 6-pot on all (600 & 63 & 65) models from "Jan/07" till now..
