SL55/63/65/R230 AMG: Are the 2003-2006 SL55 AMG engine internals forged?

Are the 2003-2006 SL55 AMG engine internals forged?

Hello,
I am fairly new to the forum and im considering buying a 2003-2006 SL55/CLS55/E55 to drive once in a while around town as a second car.

I've owned some decently fast cars in the past (350z turbo, 335i, 135i) and driven a lot of other fast cars and so i'm looking into these cars as a fairly inexpensive fast car to fulfill my need for speed itch i get every once in a while.

Back when i was into modding 350z's about 8 years ago everyone was having to "build" the engine if they wanted to go around 450+ HP/TQ, using forged internals. the SL55 AMG is already rated around that stock, and many are using upgraded pulley + eexhaust + tune to get the power up to 600/700 from what ive read. Are the stock engine internals forged? I've read the transmission can hold around 700-800 hp/tq, but what about the internals?

The crankshaft and rods are forged steel, while the pistons are cast/hypereutectic.

The overwhelming majority of engine failures seem to be a cracked ringland on the #8 piston.
