Wheel seperation

We have been having a ticking noise coming from the left front for the last 2 weeks the local shop said several of the small bolts that hold the two piece wheel together had come out or backed off. Has anyone else had this problem? If so was it just replacing the bolts?

check your 2 piece rotors. when the retaining bolts fail they make a ticking noise also

sl65 wheel ticking

mine are doing the same thing. Dealer has taken them apart and found cracked rim. They are under warranty so a new one is on order. Backordered that is until Dec 6. BTW I tightened the screws gently but it made no difference. Please post the answer when you find out.

Great after I just had mine over 180MPH. Now I got to go check each one of those bolts.

My left rear on the SL is clicking too. I took it apart and checked the torque on everything, all is good. It's 100% coming from the wheel.
