Anyone retrofit kick trunk opening for R230
would be nice if a supplier can develop a retrofit kit for R230 owners to be able to keyless / kick under the rear bumper to open the trunk

I'd check with the Smartops people. I would think that this would be right up their alley.

Have this feature on two BMW's and find it very handy. Retrofit shouldn't be all that hard but finding a company willing to invest in the R & D may be a challenge. Biggest issue is going to be how this is accommodated on cars that don't have keyless entry as the key fob sends the signal that the user is within the appropriate distance of the car. Without that, anyone could open the trunk without the key.
