Angry Motor replaced, and same **** going on

I changed my motor because the car was consuming too much oil. 1 Liter every 150 KM under hard driving.

I replaced the engine, did only 300 KM, drove it hard to check if the engine is fine. and again, Add 1.5 Liters after only 300 KM.

That's a huge quantity of oil !

And of course, no obvious leak ? With that amount of oil, your exhaust should be really blue, right ?

Is there an oil cooler on the SL ?

Not really man, there is no leak, and the exhaust isn't as bad as you think.

There is an oil cooler, but do you think if its not cooling the oil well, the car will eat this amount of oil?

if its consuming that much it should be putting up a pretty big cloud of blue smoke. If its leaking that much you should easily be able to spot that in the driveway too.

Not at all ! Just thinking maybe the oil was not filling completely the cooler and part of the additional oil you used in the first 300 km is actually there.

Exactly That oil must go somewhere, and that's so much that you can only notice where it goes.

I'm not mechanical genius but I do not think it's even possible to drink a liter in a 100K. Can you remove one plug and see if it's fowled up? I may be totally off base but perhaps with higher speed/pressure that the oil is flowing out somewhere. Like I said, I'm not sure but I just don't think it's possible.

Question for the other guys, are there any hoses that get high pressure when the car is motoring and wouldn't necessarily leak at a lower pressure?

Yes, the coilovers are very fine, and the car is really better, more easy to control.

For several times I found a spark plug that has oil on it causing a misfire. and when accelerating the car throws too much smoke from the exhaust. It looks like the engine I put is also not good as well as the one I changed.

The shop who sold me the engine said he will find me another 55 engine and replace it within 2 weeks. Let hope this time its gonna be good.

It's not possible that the replacement engine was not properly topped-off with oil to begin with is it?

If your plug(s) are fouled with oil that's probably not the case.

the engine was filled with 8.5 liters of oil. And for the first 200 km, I was always checking oil level, it was showing Oil Level OK!. But later it shown Add 1.5 Liter.

Will let you know what happens, most probably we'll get a better one.
