Paddleshift Steering Wheel-END ALL BE ALL THREAD
Hi Folks, with my black series widebody going into affect, im looking to spruce up the interior a bit. After lots of searching, I still have no definitive answer as to what works as far as getting the steering wheel setup from a non AMG, non paddle/button car (sl600) to work with paddles. I already have the 2009 r230 wheel, just need to know exactly what I would need. Thank you guys!!

talk to Ivan at DCT motorsports, they have tried to swap that wheel and he would know if you can or cant do it. I assume you cant use it.

^^ IF, you can get Ivan to respond! Bought CF steering wheel (took FOREVER with lots of excuses for delay) and wanted CF shifter handle. Tried to order, first he said full CF shifter handle not available even though it was on his site so I settled for one with less CF and he said he'd get it ordered then went completely radio silent.... That was several months ago and haven't heard from him since. Good luck, hope you have better luck with him then I did....

I think I have an extra SL steering wheel with shift buttons if someone needs one for their project, but I also got a carbon one with shift buttons and have never taken on the rest of the project. I was talking with a guy on here that had some great info about it though and said it is possible on 05 if you have the right steering wheel. I thought you just needed the wheel with shift buttons and an additional module that gets wired in and programmed, but that was a few years back.
