Rear mounted intercooler tank option

Was searching around for info on rear mounted intercooler tank setups and ran across this. It's for the '05-'14 Mustang and not as complete as some SL specific kits. Just thought I'd share.

That is one of my older intercooler tanks.
We have been making them for mustangs and camaros.

I would love to get the dimensions for the trunk so I can make them for perfect.

Great looking part! I'll certainly get you the dimensions when I can. Car is in the shop waiting on a new radiator. 😏 Hopefully it'll be ready Friday. If someone else would like to answer before, feel free.

How much would a pert like this cost? If it's one thing I've noticed since going (used) Mercedes, it's that there's something very similar to the "Apple Tax" going on. 😅 I understand for Mercedes parts or repairs, there would be an up charge, but didn't expect the prices for similar parts for other platforms. Take this intercooler tank, the prices I've seen were around $500 (without fittings or tubing), but $800 for the Mercedes, though it did come with fitting and tubing. Down pipes are similar, around $350 for one, so two should be around $700, nope $1100.

We charge 450.00 plus ride for the 7 gal with with rule2000 pump inside plumbed up.
575 for the 8gallon with rule 3700 plumbed up.
Same price as the s197 mustangs and 03-04 Cobras.
I think that is not right on the "Apple tax" and I don't believe in it.

Great pricing! I'm not sure if it's possible, but I think most people on the board feel 5 gallons is optimal. Personally, I don't care as much since I don't plan to be very competitive with the car, it's "officially" my wife's. 😅 I just want to play out some ideas I have for it. 😉 I did think you should know, if you were planning to market such a part.

P.S. I completely agree on the "Apple Tax". You can only imagine my horror when I visited Renntech's site. 😱😂

Sorry for taking so long to get back with you. Silly me, being new to the car, I didn't realize it doesn't have a spare tire so no wheel well. There is a square well however. The safe clearance measurements I came up with are 16"x16"x6.5". You may want to take a look at Weistec's design. http://http://weistec.com/all/sl/sl-55/2003-2008-r230-m113k/supercharger-cooling/trunk-ice-tank.html

If we can stretch that to 7 inches deep then I will have no problem putting a rule 2000 pump in there. Then you can get rid of that stock Bosch pump which doesn't flow that great to begin with.
Here is custom tank I did this week.
