Strut availability?
Back from vacation to see a large oil puddle under the left rear strut. Called Arnott industries to source a strut and check availabilityof a front valve block (front left corner is dipping when it sits ). Arnott does not have any product available and does not have a date for restock. Call the stealership and they state Germany does not have stock and also cannot provide a restock date. I'm left a little disillusioned thinking that a car like this can be left unusable due to the inability to repair it. I understand that there is a member in Texas that may rebuild the valve blocks and intend on contacting him, but in the meantime I'm a little pissed that this situation could have been avoided had MB decided to admit publicly that ABC oil service is and needs to be a scheduled service.

i just had the same issue. arnott was out of stock 6 weeks ago. I ended up having to let the mechanic order it through the local wharehouse suppliers. They had several in stock. Cost me about $200 more than had i gotten it from arnott themselves but what can you do. Im sure you know that you can send yours into arnott and they can rebuild it and send it back but dunno if you want to deal with all of that.
Also as an FYI you can source one of the newer updated valve blocks used fairly cheap and readily. I didnt know it at the time so had mine rebuilt. If i had to do it all over again i would just find a used set of newer blocks rather than deal with a rebuild.

you may want to try parts geek. When I needed a rear strut they had stock of arnott struts when arnott did not. Only problem is if you have a problem you have to go back to PG.
I sent my strut in to arnott and they returned it in about three weeks.
