If you can manage to get the TCU as well at the same time, I'd consider it. You will see the true potential of the ECU by removing the torque limits from the tranny. You will not be disappointed, but you may wear your rear tires a bit quicker.
sorry i should have specified, i got an ecu/tcu tune yes i have heard they go hand in hand nicely, cant wait! will be sending out the tcu monday and shall be enjoying by the end of next week i assume!
just have to find exactly where the TCU is, i for some reason havent found that info online, found conflicting information as to in the same box as the ECU or in the passenger footwell area, either way sounds like it shouldnt be too difficult to find.

I don't know exactly, I never learned too much about the SL. I would do some searching in advance so you can see what the TCU looks like and have a part number to confirm before pulling out the wrong thing and sending it in by accident. Good luck.
