Took my car out of storage today to get the Pulsation Damper replaced and the ABC system flushed. I'd had a noticeable noise and vibration that started in the mid summer and based on the information on these forums had narrowed it down the damper.

I can't begin to describe what a difference it made, wish I hadn't waited to do it. I guess I may have just adapted a bit to the noise because after the fix it was like driving a totally different car. Completely smooth and silent, so much so I can't recall it ever having been this good! It was quite cheap as well for an ABC fix.

Unfortunately it was about minus 10 Celsius today and although the roads were dry, I couldn't really drive it except to the garage and back. Can hardly wait for spring again. In the mean time, I did pick up this E63 AMG S 4matic this afternoon, which will tide me over until then. It's a great car and drives well, but still nothing like the feeling of the SL!
